Thomas is a digital enthusiast with over 10 years of professional experience in the media industry. He covers a broad field of expertise in the areas of digital transformation, corporate strategy, business development and user centric product development.
Before entering K5 Factory as COO, Thomas was Vice President for Innovation & Incubation at ProSiebenSat.1. He designed, launched and operated new product business lines and took P&L responsibility for them. Thomas entered ProSiebenSat.1 in 2017 and was active in several strategy and cross functional interface roles.
After finishing his Ph.D. thesis in Information Systems and New Media Thomas kicked off his career at Mücke, Roth & Company, a consultancy specialized in media industry. Thomas focused mainly on top line-oriented product development projects for TV operators, media and sales houses. As Chief Research Officer he was one of the founding members of veed-analytics, an intelligence service for the video industry which became one of the leading video intelligence services worldwide.
Thomas strongly believes in the right mix of customer centric product development and strategic guidelines. In the last years he launched over five new product lines and designed organizational structures that are capable to handle fast moving market environments.
