Eric, born and raised in Canada, attended universities in Paris (Panthéon-Sorbonne), France, and Salzburg (Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg), Austria, where he studied Philosophy, Art History and Communication Sciences. He graduated in the field of aesthetics and worked for a range of photographers and studios (Günther Kathrein, ReVo Studios, Deluxe-Images et al.) in Germany and Switzerland during his studies. In 1998 he departed on an extensive photography field trip to Indonesia’s ring of fire and among other stories, documented the overthrow of the government in 1998 and visited remote tribes in West-Papua and the Moluccas. Other earlier work includes reportages on Central America including a stay in war-torn El Salvador in 1992.
His career in the field of commercial communication started in the late 1990ies in Zurich’s creative digital shop R.O.S.A. / W,H,S,
Eric moved on to work in international network agencies at Omnicom (TBWA, Red Urban, Heye Group / DDB, Interbrand) and WPP (Ogilvy) in global positions and has been a member in task forces to stimulate and innovate digital transformation processes. This includes the development of branded entertainment formats and OTT platforms (Sony Music Entertainment et al.). Additional experience and responsibilities in all pre-opening marketing activities and the digitization of sales processes for IHG (Thailand, Singapore) and Starwood (Dubai, UAE).
Maple syrup makes him a happier man. Discovering great stories even more so. At K5 he is responsible for acquisition and marketing, as well as reaching out to his international creative network to partner with outstanding talent and develop content in all relevant technological realities, ultimately making audiences happier people as well by leaving a lasting impact.
